This is the Cyprus society of Podiatrists. It was founded in 2003 by a small team of podiatrists lead by Diamanto Maliotou-Papasavva and Lenia Papadopoullou-Maliotou as the first qualified podiatrist on the island. she was the president from 2003 until December 2010. Lenia Papadopoullou-Maliotou and Despina Theodorou are active members of the executive board at this time. Foot-Forward had and has a strong participation in the in the world of feet in Cyprus.
The FIP is an international not-for-profit association focused on global leadership and the development of podiatric medicine around the world. The Federation was founded in 1947 with 10 podiatry organizations. Over the years, it has grown to include 28 organizations representing 27 countries spread over six continents. It has more than 86.000 members around the world. The scope of the FIP is to work together collaboratively with leaders of the podiatry profession, to enhance the podiatric profession through the sharing of knowledge, practice and research among member countries.
Diamanto Maliotou-Papasavva is a member of the executive board(treasurer) of this organization from May 2008 until October 2012.
The International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot(IWGDF) was set up in 1996 to improve outcomes of diabetic foot problems, and enhance communication and collaboration between the many professionals involved in diabetic foot care and those in a position to decide healthcare policy and provide funding. The IWGDF is a truly global network, comprising of representatives from many countries(91). in 2000, the International Diabetes Federation in order to facilitate the development of a worldwide network of foot representatives and to work together towards raising awareness of the costs and consequences of the diabetic foot.
Diamanto Maliotou-Papasavva is the Cyprus Representative of the organization since 2005.
Pedcad is a German company based in a little village in Oberkochen. Foot-Forward is using the Pedcad milling systems since 2001 to mill the custom made insoles for its patients. These systems can intergrate our diagnostic data we get from our pressure distribution analysis and from scanning the shape of the feet and we can use their software to design the appropriate insoles for each foot of our patients always based on our personal judgments as podiatrists. The automated milling systems process the received data fast and precisely to produce the desired quality product. Diamanto Maliotou-Papasavva has been also consulting for them in the podiatric field in Cyprus and Greece and other neighbour countries since 2001.

She has presented the subject pressure distribution and diabetes in many conferences around the world.
